BIO:
Susan Melly is a mixed media artist who has created both 2D and 3D pieces. She studied extensively with Bonita Helmer and Laddie John Dill; both well established in the art world. Her work has been exhibited locally and nationally. She works from her studio in Los Angeles, California.
She attended the University of California, where she received her BA in Art: Lithography, Sculpture, and Painting. She attended California State University, where she received her Masters in Education. She then completed graduate work at Otis School of Art and Design.
Susan was the recipient of the Public Art Commission Choice Award in 2016, as well as the Hawthorne City Best in Show Award in 2015.
She is a member of the Los Angeles Art Association: LAAA Gallery 825, the National Women’s Caucus for Art and various other local organizations.
